About
Welcome to my blog! My name is Tommy Chen, and I have just completed my undergraduate degrees with honours in Commerce and Law at the University of Sydney. My academic areas of interest include econometrics, finance, intellectual property, and international law. Other areas I’m interested in include architecture, history, geography and classical music. My favourite participation sports include swimming, badminton and bowling, while my favourte armchair sports include football (soccer) and diving. These, my passion for food of all kinds, my travels around the world, and much else, feed the sources for my blog. As you can guess, it’s quite an uneven mixture.
I’m progressivley posting up my travel notes illustrated using my Nikon SLR camera. I’ve recently settled into my job at one of the world’s largest financial institutions – an interesting position to be in given the current financial conditions. I’m still writing up materials jotted down during my trip to Europe and the United States in 2009, and a recent trip to Japan. Next destination? Stay tuned!

hi tommy,
my girlfriend and i are currently in berlin, and we stumbled upon your post on the pork knuckles. we’re wondering where it is you went as we have been hunting high and low for a good place. we’d truly appreciate your help in providing directions to this amazing restaurant you blogged about.
cheers,
ric
Hi Ric,
The place I mentioned is across the street from Alexanderplatz station on Gontardstrasse, probably closer to Karl-Liebknecht-strasse than Rathausstrasse. The pork knuckles are very good value ^^
Enjoy,
Tommy
